Time Period: Traveling with the Doctor and Jack

Mattie stumbles into a multiversal arena for the first time. He runs into an angel, and so begins a ~~romance~~ friendship for the ages, or at least the geek age, even if it's not obvious at first. A few months down the road, we see the evolution of a friendship, and what happens when you show a very curious scientist a friend's wings. Apparently, what happens is touching. Alongside the wings is coffee, crosswords, and two office workers (well, sorta) commiserating. Parades are planned. (
